How It Started
On Mother's Day 1995, our doors officially opened to serve the dining dreams of an ever-growing Portola Garden District. Founder Mr. Yen operated multiple businesses along San Bruno Avenue, but recognized that what his community needed most was a place where families can sit down and enjoy traditional Dimsum and Chinese cuisine.
Since then, we have modernized our offerings while keeping our selections true to his vision. Whether it be a casual get-together, business function, or cultural gathering, our perfectly spacious dining room can host events big and small, as long as they matter the most to you.
For nearly thirty years, our staff members have gone on to further their careers in the restaurant industry. For many, Imperial Garden was their first job experience. Others have become leaders in the food service field and beyond.
Every relationship that has sprung forth from our humble San Francisco location is part of the lasting, positive impact that our good food and excellent service brings to each table.
